1. Information We Collect
PDF Compressor does NOT actively collect, store, or transmit any personal information. We do not actively collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number, unless you voluntarily contact us via email for support. We do not read, store, or upload any content contained in your PDF files. All compression and processing operations are performed entirely on your device, and your document content never leaves your phone.
The only data collected is through third-party services:
- Google AdMob: May collect Google Advertising ID (AAID), device model & OS version, approximate location, network information, and ad interaction data for ad serving, frequency capping, and ad performance measurement.
- Google Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., feature access frequency, session duration) to help us understand product usage and optimize features.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: Collects device state information, crash stack logs, and app version data when the app crashes, for the sole purpose of fixing bugs and improving stability.
2. How We Use Information
- Advertising ID: Used solely for serving ads and limiting ad frequency.
- Crash Reports: Used to improve app stability and fix bugs.
- Usage Statistics: Aggregated anonymous data to understand feature usage.
The app is currently free to use, supported by advertisements. No payment or billing information is collected by the app.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For personalized advertising via AdMob. You may withdraw consent at any time through your device's ad settings or by disabling ads in the app's Settings screen.
- Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): For anonymous crash reporting and usage analytics via Firebase. Our legitimate interest is to ensure app stability, fix bugs, and optimize product features. This processing uses only aggregated, non-identifiable data and has a minimal impact on user privacy. We have carried out a balancing test and concluded that our legitimate interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms. You have the right to object to this processing at any time by contacting us.
4. Data Storage, Retention, and Security
Since all PDF processing is performed locally on your device, your files never leave your phone. We implement reasonable security measures to protect any data stored locally.
Data retention:
- Advertising ID and related data: Retained by Google AdMob according to its own data retention policies.
- Crash reports and usage statistics: Retained by Google Firebase according to its own data retention policies.
- Local app preferences: Retained on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
5. Third-Party Services
Our app uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob (advertising)
- Google Firebase (analytics & crash reporting)
Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Please note that Google LLC acts as an independent data controller for the data processed through AdMob and Firebase. Their data processing practices are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
6. International Data Transfers
Some of the third-party service providers (Google AdMob, Firebase) are based in the United States. This means your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
We only work with providers that have implemented appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
7. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Right of Access: You can request a copy of your personal data.
- Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You can request restriction of data processing.
- Right to Data Portability: You can request transfer of your data.
- Right to Object: You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw consent for personalized ads at any time through your device settings or by disabling ads in the app's Settings screen.
To exercise any of these rights, please send an email to 1007958770qq@gmail.com. We may ask you to provide information to verify your identity to protect your data security. We will respond to your request within 30 days of receipt. For complex requests, we may extend this period by an additional 15 days, and we will notify you of the extension and the reason for the delay.
Note that most ad and analytics data is processed directly by third-party SDK providers (Google AdMob, Firebase). We will assist you in contacting the relevant service providers to exercise your deletion rights upon request.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the following rights:
- You have the right to request information about the personal data we collect and to request deletion of your personal data.
- You have the right to opt out of the "sale" of your personal information. We do not sell your personal data; however, third-party ad partners may use your data for personalized advertising, which may be considered a "sale" under California law. You can opt out of personalized ads via your device's ad settings.
To exercise your CCPA rights, please contact us at 1007958770qq@gmail.com.
9. Right to Complain

10. Children's Privacy
This app is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 under the GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete the relevant information.

- Request deletion of personal data held by us by contacting the email address provided in Section 13 (Contact Us). We will respond within 30 calendar days.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through an in-app notice. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
